KSL/Deseret News Poll published earlier today (2 November 2008) reports 12 percent for Libertarian Joseph Geddes Buchman -- 300 percent increase in the last three days!
According to the KSL/Deseret News report, 12 percent of likely voters are voting for Buchman For Congress.
Utah's 1st Congressional District:
Rob Bishop … 60%
Morgan Bowen … 27%
Joseph Geddes Buchman … 12%
Undecided/Refuse … 8%
Kirk Pearson … 2%
(margin of error +/- 5%)

Just four days ago the Salt Lake Tribune Mason-Dixon poll indicated only 4 percent for Buchman.
According to Buchman:
"That's a record-breaking, never-before-in-the-history of federal campaigns, 300 percent, 3-day increase!!! I've made history!
If that trend could have continued for the next three days, I would have won the election!"
Unfortunately, it seems the Deseret News has published a typo.
In addition to misspelling Buchman's first name (Jeseph -- it's Joseph) as well as the name of the Libertarian Party Attorney General Candidate (Anderw -- it's Andrew), the results of the KSL/Deseret news poll total 109 percent.
"Seems they could use a proofreader down there," Buchman says.
Still, while 12 percent wouldn't win the election, it would send a LOUD message to the media, the politicians in DC, and the voters of Utah that Liberty and Principle matter more than party.
Buchman's radio ads are airing today and tomorrow in Rush and Glenn Beck (AM 570. XM-165 (Where he will be interviewed for three hours on Monday). Video ads are running in Park City this weekend.
Buchman asks his supporters to "please spread the word, ask your freedom loving friends to vote Libertarian, email your favorite radio spot to all of them (they can vote Libertarian in every state in the US), and over the next 48 Hours -- BE Paul Revere!"
As for other media coverage, Buchman says:
"I remain very disappointed not only with the Deseret News and Salt Lake Tribune coverage of my campaign, with the NPR station in Logan for not inviting me to their debate (have been getting emails from people in Logan wanting to know why I wasn't there), AND in the Park Record for their "Voter's Guide" with only Republican Congressman Bishop and Democratic Morgan Bowen listed.
"I can almost understand the KSL, KUED and KBYU polling requirements for 5 to 15 percent, but it seems buying advertising space or time is a media prerequisite for gaining their news coverage.
"So I could really use a few more Paul Revere's right now.
"So could all of our Libertarian candidates. I hope you'll be one. 48 hours is all we ask."
